Washington, DC, the U.S. capital, is a compact city on the Potomac River, bordering the states of Maryland and Virginia. It’s defined by imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings – including the iconic ones that house the federal government’s 3 branches: the Capitol, White House and Supreme Court. It’s also home to iconic museums and performing-arts venues such as the Kennedy Center.
Enjoy our two-day visit to our Nation’s Capital. We will visit the newest museum – The National Museum of African American History and Culture. You will also have free time to explore other Smithsonian museums on the National Mall. The next morning we will enjoy a Professionally Guided Black History Tour, including the Frederick Douglass House, Photo stops at the U.S. Capitol and the White House, Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial and The Lincoln Memorial, and more.
