Positive: House and location absolutely perfect.

Negative: To arrive to find there was a construction site with cars and semi trailer trucks parked in front and in our street. The noise and sounds from the workers for the first 3 days was totally unsatisfactory including on the 4 th night being woken at 1 am to the noise of the half of the house being moved literally. Whilst construction site’s being located next to a rental is out of the letting agencies control it was baffling to us that we were not at least notified prior to arriving or booking that there was a construction site next door. We had to provide a load of information and correspondence from our side to the agency to assure owners we would take care of this property (the most I’ve ever had yo provide) so it was very disappointing we were not equally informed. I had spent a lot of time choosing this beautiful property as we had a special family wedding to attend in Byron so we paid a lot of $$ for the property. I do note when I explained to our agent about the noise we were refunded $100 for the noise of the Monday 1 am but that event was as I tried to explain was just 2 hrs in 3 days of construction noise so the refund $100 seemed to unfortunately not reflect the impact of the intrusiveness of the noise for 3 of the 5 days stay.

Summary: Perfect house, very disappointing service not to be notified ahead of construction site next door!
