The Sea Horse is a 2 bedroom colorful oceanfront apartment with 1 bath and a full kitchen. Up to 4 guests are welcome. Rates are different for 2, 3, and 4 guests. There is a private porch with a hammock and outdoor furniture for each unit. This unit has both ocean front views, lagoon views, and the best iconic bridge views. Enjoy the sunset and see the myriad of smiling locals and visitors, returning dive boats and fisherman, and resting tuk-tuks come to this hotspot for a beautiful days end picture.
Amenities in the unit:
HOT WATER. The shower has on demand hot water. We do not supply soaps or conditioners; please pack accordingly. We do supply towels, toilet paper, and linens.
FULL KITCHEN. The kitchen has a large fridge and freezer with ice trays, propane 4 burner stove, blender, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, etc. There is not an oven. On the island, you purchase all drinking water. The apartment will be stocked with a full 5 gallon bottle and dispenser. You can request more water at any time.
MINI SPLIT AIR CONDITIONING. Each bedroom has its own mini split ac and remote control.
PREPAY FOR POWER. On Utila, all power comes from diesel generators and is paid for in advance. Each apartment has its own power meter. At check in, we will send a request for power prepayment. Charges average $50 per week for 2 people/1 bedroom used and $100 per week for 2-4 people with both bedrooms used. Occasionally, power outages do occur for brief periods while repairs are made. If we receive notice, we will also notify you.
CHECK IN is anytime after 3pm. The ferry to the island from Roatan arrives at 3, so this timing is perfect. You will receive codes to enter the gate and the apartment on the day of your arrival.
CHECK OUT is 10am, which coincides with the ferry departing the island at 10 am as well. If you need an early check in or later check out, you can request it; there may be a small fee.
